Why not Bugnini? Was he not a primary architect of the New Order Mass?
Bugnini doesn’t reflect the lived practice of the Church because he may have been the puppeteer of the NO but not all his ideas actually got approved - so his referring to something by a specific term doesn’t mean the Church came to see that as a legitimate name. Also, since terms can accrue connotations over the years, pointing to Bugnini’s use at the inception of the NO may not be able to tell us whether NO as now used is meant pejoratively.

Some of his ideas were approved. Not all means some/few/one:( . And if even one idea of his was approved this may invalidate some or parts of the New Order Mass.

I am an altar server – TLM! I was asked why we ‘pivot’ towards the priest when saying the Confiteor. I had no factual answer, other than to show reverence towards the priest. Maybe this would suffice:

One, there are three types of bows:
  1. simple bow – head & neck. 2. moderate bow – from the shoulders, and 3. profound bow – at the waist. They are made for the following reasons: 1. Whenever something is said aloud that requires a reverence. 2. When kneeling for a word or phrase said aloud that requires a genuflection for those standing. 3 When administering to a sacred minister (e.g. presenting the cruets.) 4. When an act of reference is required towards a personage (e.g., before and after incensing them or an object (e.g., to an altar.). and 5. For an action of the celebrant that requires an objective reverence (e.g., the four genuflections during the Consecration actions and during the celebrant’s Communion of both Sacred Species.)
