Why would men want to outlaw abortion? They can have sex with a woman, get her pregnant and bear no consquences. They won’t be saddled with 18 years of child support if they can get her to abort it, right?

Many of the “polls” here are ignorant. Someone takes his opinion and gives people a few choices to select. This one, however, is the most insulting, offensive and just plain asinine poll of all.
Vladi, every word you typed offends me, and every woman who marched and fought and even died for women to assume their rightful places in society. Shame on you.
There may be some convoluted reasoning, for lack of a better term, for your comments on abortion, but welfare and the mass invasion of muslims?
Women are on welfare because men walk away from their children, because they have to fight for equal pay to raise those kids when the men take a hike, and because this cycle has perpetuated itself until the girls in those families think this is the normal way for things to be. I’ve had men yell at me for taking a job away from a man who had to support his family. What about my family? WHOA…now I’m mad.
Women are not the source of all evil in the world. Try to remember that.

Vladi, what is often portrayed as a gender gap in voting is really a *marriage *gap.
Unmarried women, especially those with children, are more likely to vote leftist. They want big government to replace the fathers their kids don’t have. And often, women who are single parents are more liberal anyway. They have kids without men on purpose, then realize they need a lot of the stuff those inconvenient men provide, and demand government provide them.
Married women vote much more conservatively, or rightist, than unmarried women. When the numbers in the polls are teased out, this is what shows up.

That is, of course, true. It’s just as fallacious to blame all men as it is to blame all women. I had to really fight my way through wall after wall that didn’t want to budge for a 40 something single mother who just graduated from college and had no work experience. I do get a chip on my shoulder about it sometimes.
And I hope it’s better now than it was 20 years ago. A person with my job makes $X. We all get the same raise on the same day. No merit raises, just longevity. But in my previous job, men with lower production rates than mine were getting $10,000 to $25,000 more, with the same amount of experience.
I was getting mad, but mostly because I was so offended that anyone even suggest women should give up their vote.

Exactly! I’m related to a few women who’ve had to work two jobs and live on food stamps to raise their kids because the men walked away. And plenty of men support abortion. Let’s not forget, male judges decided to make it legal in the first place. I know plenty of guys who freak out at the possibility of pregnancy and would try to get a girl to have an abortion just so they don’t have to pay child support.
Misogyny is never a good thing. This poll is quite ridiculous.

Hay, daeve, I am right with ya on this! I was trying to point out to Vladi that women as a class do not vote as uniformly as he seems to think we do. The media talk about the “female vote” as if there are no differences among us. That lends itself to people thinking in the way Vladi would have to in order to post this poll.
They can take my vote away when they pry it from my cold, dead fingers, after my Second Amendment-protected gun battle.

I would be willing to give up my “right” to vote in that I assumed that all women would be giving up their right to vote considering how it was phrased.
