In catholic theology and in objective and realistic philosophy:

what is the deep definition and the deep sense and thus the real effects of this statement? Insult of human intelligence.

Do you have references?

Insult to human intelligence, it is better!!!

In catholicism:

What is an insult to human intelligence? Is it a sin? What is the concept of an insult to human intelligence, according to the catholic doctrine?

What are the constitutives elements of these wrong intellectual approaches or of wrong behaviors coming from the bad voluntary cogitations (thoughts, points of view, doxa)?

This is a idiom in English. It’s a figure of speech.
When a priest says " it is an insult to the human intelligence ". What does it means exactly?

For instance, in the sermon of Fr Chad Ripperger (FSSP) concerning NFP against catholic lay persons who think that the responsible procreation with using the medical sciences for understand the female cycle is not very natural because it would be an objectivation of the sex of wife, thus these methods would be bad, wrong and not catholic.

He respond them in saying, it is an insult to the human intelligence? What does he want to say us in sense of catholic theology and of catholic philosophy?

My hypothesis:

May be, the fact of refusing the link between catholic Faith and the natural Reason? I am not sure!!!

It’s a figure of speech, an idiom, in order to denounce, in the indirect way, the fideism, the theoretical providentialism, the idea that — Help yourself, The heaven will help you —, is not, per se, a good catholic slogan.

I want to share with you my thought.

An insult to human intelligence is when somebody says something so preposterous no person with any sense should believe it. It’s an insult to human intelligence.

For example: the Mormons say God started out as a human being on another planet, and because he was a good Mormon he was given this planet to rule. I kid you not. That’s what Mormons say. How can anybody believe this nonsense?

The phrase is a common saying. It’s not a religious term.
