Gay people can do more than that. And plenty of people aren’t Catholic.
I didn’t know what you meant by the above statement.
Ah. Well anal sex, which is what sodomy normally refers to (though in truth that should refer to rape more specifically), is only one form of sex. There are plenty of others.

And as to plenty of people not being Catholic, well, they aren’t and as such don’t follow that line of reference for sin.

Again, sodomy (or any other similar act different than the natural act) is against the Natural Law built into every human being. So regardless of what a person’s religious beliefs are, he cannot claim ignorance to knowing that the act is wrong. Just like murder; no one goes to school to learn that murder is wrong because God has built that knowledge into every one of us.

We aren’ t perfect… That is obvious too!
I meant well when I suggested you read our Cathecism…It goes through it all slowly .
Take your time and read it patiently,Alex. If you want, that is…

If it helps I read the Catechism long before I left Catholicism. 🙂 I know it, I just don’t agree with it.

OK!
Perhaps…just perhaps…some time…if you want…you may want to read it again!
We will be waiting for you! 😃
No need to hurry…God knows the time best!:hugs:

Your post is totally inappropriate. Flagged.

We are not animals just looking for fun - the act is for reproduction only as we can see from the reaction of the human body during the process.

No worries 😊 I still worship Christ. I just found a church that makes more sense to me. I’m glad Catholicism helps others be close to God.

How is it inappropriate? You brought up sex acts. I’m sorry if you don’t like it.

The human body reacts in many ways, it need not be only for procreation to create good effects. To be clear I refer to the health benefits of the act. And couples bond through it as well.

“As Sodom and Gomorrah, and the neighboring cities, in like manner, having given themselves to fornication, and going after other flesh, were made an example, suffering the punishment of eternal fire” Jude 1:7

“Know you not that the unjust shall not possess the kingdom of God? Do not err: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, Nor the effeminate, nor liers with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor railers, nor extortioners, shall possess the kingdom of God” 1 Cor 6:9-10

Not really. Personally I think God was more concerned with people in those cities giving in to rape. I don’t see anything about Sodom or Gomorrah having a rash of monogamous, dedicated homosexual relationships.

It seems to me a devout Catholic would know that gay marriage is contrary to the teachings of the Church and therefore sinful according to the Catholic faith.

That’s more of a Jewish interpretation than a Catholic one. I’m not saying whether it’s right or wrong, but I don’t think the Church buys it.

Don’t Quakers differ insofar as their worship of Christ is concerned?

Maybe not. But all the parts in the story do seem, rightfully, far more upset about the raping.

I mean don’t Quakers differ from ONE ANOTHER in how they view Christ?
