If intimacy was intended for procreation, why is sex aloud after either parnter can no longer produce children?

I am not sure if it is that simple, but very well said. I will have to reflect on this and see if it cuts through a lot and simplifies many questions I have.Is there any reason sex shouldn’t be allowed? Is all in life to be reduced to things only being allowed if fullfilling some specific weighty purpose?
The divine is generous in providing a wide range of delights in our lives. If no ill purpose is being served, they are ours to enjoy and be thankful for. To deny this divine purpose would be to throw the gifts back in God’s face.

To quote C. S. Lewis, “God is a hedonist.” And he *loves *us. And he is generous. Shucks. You’re not complaining, are you?If intimacy was intended for procreation, why is sex aloud after either parnter can no longer produce children?
