**Today our Bishop was the main celebrant at Liturgy, with the rector con-celebrating and a Deacon assisting. This happens at least once a month in my Diocese.
After the Gospel is read by the Deacon he brings the Book of Gospels to the Bishop. Father continues to stand until the Bishop reverenced the Book and then the all sit down.
I always feel awkward sitting down before the Father and Deacon do. I am usually the last person to sit down however I still sit before any of the clergy in the sanctuary.
Does anyone know the proper posture for those in the pews during this time?**
