Careful. All of the Bible is true. The Church has condemned the idea that the history presented in the Bible is a myth. I’m sure you don’t want to inadvertenty promote a heresy.

This *is *a complicated issue. Yes, the Church does say that, but if you carefully undergo a structured Catholic analysis of the Bible, you can’t help but conclude that the Church doesn’t actively support the literal interpretation of the Bible, and cautions students to recognize and remember such variables as historical context, human shortcomings, and the overall *human nature * (eg, fallibale nature) of the writing of the Good Book’s contents. The Church de-emphasizes literal interpretation, as a matter of course, while validating the idea on certain, largely unspecified levels.
