Question on The Holy Trinity

I’m sure this has been asked plenty of times but I just want to be sure because of a school project. The Church accepts or views (I’m not sure how to phrase it) Baptisms of other Protestant denominations as valid. Why is it that The Church does not see a Mormon’s Baptism valid. Is it because they do not believe in The Holy Trinity?

The comment above pretty much summarizes the explanation given in 2001 by the CDF.

Mormon teaching on the Trinity is so different from Catholic teaching, the words do not mean the same thing.

The explanation I link to above was written by Fr Luis Ladaria, sj, the current head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith.
