Question re music not provided in the sacramentary

I’m looking through the Sacramentary, particularly Appendix III Music for the Order of the Mass, and there doesn’t seem to be any music provided for the Agnus Dei, though pretty much everything else is there including settings of the General Intercessions and all sorts that aren’t normally sung.

Is there a reason for this omission, or have I just overlooked it?

What setting do you use for it when singing the other music provided in the sacramentary in English?

The Hymns of the Ordinary of the Mass–Kyrie, Gloria, Credo, Sanctus, and Agnus Dei–are already provided for in official music collections such as the Kyriale, or in approved settings by modern composers, especially of vernacular translations.

The chants in the Sacramentary (and its predecessor the altar Missal) are only those that apply directly to the Priest and other ministers.

That, to me, doesn’t explain why the Sanctus is there, then, unless the idea is to include those chants that lead on from something the priest has sung or intoned first.

I would also have thought, from the “user documentation” viewpoint, that the Agnus Dei would be in the people’s Missal, but not so.

I have limited resources at hand at the moment and have to pull together a set of this music to provide to others at very short notice. If anyone has the appropriate Lamb of God (and Gloria) at hand, I’d be grateful for a PM. (I assume there is a setting of each that would normally used with these other chant settings in the sacramentary, and we are keen to avoid the Mass Miscellaneous.)

I probably didn’t explain myself very well there … I’ll “step back a bit” and start again.

The need is for a complete English Mass setting that is intended to be unaccompanied (as opposed to something normally accompanied but the musicians didn’t show up/the organ broke down).

The New Plainsong Mass would fit this bill. We assumed, however, that the Sacramentary chants are from a complete Mass setting, and that because they are in the Sacramentary, they are the “default” that we should all know, so that’s what we should use. Is this the case, or has anyone using those chants always had to forage elsewhere for a Gloria and Agnus Dei?

If it is a complete setting and there exists an Agnus Dei for it and you have it close at hand, I’d be grateful for a PM. (I won’t have access to many resources between now and the deadline.)

If it isn’t a complete setting, I’ll stop looking and we might use New Plainsong or summat else.
