Now that you know that the consecrated host is not a symbol of Jesus but rather the true presence of Jesus, how does this change your perspective about the sacrament of the Eucharist?

DId they ask you this in RCIA?Have your feelings changed about the Eucharist? I would like your opinions on this thank you for your time.![]()
What a blessing for you! Yes we each have our own path… when I was little and the nuns told me Jesus was there I was awe struck, but as I grew into a teenager I let it go. Thankfully the truth came back and tapped me on the shoulder… Thank you, Lord Jesus, for loving me!.When I was growing up, I did not know anything about God, the Bible or Jesus. Yet, when I was occasionally present at Mass, I always believed that whatever was happening on the altar was real. My belief in the True Presence (without anyone telling me) was a great motivation for me to learn about our Lord Jesus and led me to the Catholic faith. So I cannot imagine believing in Jesus and not in His presence in the Eucharist, because I never had that experience, for me it was the other way around. Each of us has a different path.
Quite simply, it made the whole thing fall into place. Until I realised about the real presence, I never fully understood the point of communion. Now that you know that the consecrated host is not a symbol of Jesus but rather the true presence of Jesus, how does this change your perspective about the sacrament of the Eucharist?
Ditto. I always knew it was Him. I was shocked when I found out the other churches used some bread and grape juice and it wasn’t consecrated as the Body and Blood of Our Savior. It would be hard for a person who has always believed since childhood in the real presence. I don’t remember thinking “differently” about it.
