If god does not occupy space, then “he” is not omnipresent? Isn’t there a contradiction?
The problem is that “omipresent” (and many other descriptors given to him) is a made up term. It’s outside the scope of our reality. While we can ponder it, you might as well say God is made of the color blue or some other silly thing. I think the problem is that people think the omi’s are important sounding and powerful and so they like their god to have those attributes, whether they make sense or not.

One would expect the terms used to describe God - the Supreme Being - to be made up because they refer to a unique fact. They are not meaningless but extrapolations of our experience of presence, knowledge, power, goodness and love. And they make sense because they are concerned with the most important aspects of existence…
