I,ve been trying to fine out about the Cross of OUR LORD,some one said,that, a person
back in Jesus time, found the Cross,weather it was the hole Cross or piece of Jesus Cross…Can any one help me, because if they did I would like to read up on this.

Let me just point out, not to start an argument but just to avoid a factual misunderstanding, that the Emperor Constantine, despite being called a saint by some Eastern Christians, is not a canonized Catholic saint. Of course many early saints have never been formally canonized, but in the case of Constantine only what is ultimately a small minority of Catholics would ever call him a saint.

Anyway, St. Helen, in the 4th Century, did find a cross in the Holy Land that was purported to be the True Cross, and evidently some small fragments of it remain to this day.
 
I was told once as a child that the “True Cross” was found and a relic of it is placed under the altar in every Cathedral. It has been splintered is what I was told. Not sure how true that is but it is something I have never thought to ask about. Until your post.

I have read, but am unable to provide a citation, that most of the Holy Cross was actually burned and that the ashes were then mixed with clay, enabling the Church to share these most holy relics as broadly as possible. I don’t know the truth of this. Anyone?
