Before we start - I’ve no idea where to actually put this post. But. I think this is the right place. If it isn’t, can someone please tell me where to put it?

I’ve a few questions for you guys about Jesus. Please do reply from your point of view.
  • What role does Jesus play in your life?
  • Why did Jesus die on the cross?
  • Will Jesus come back to earth one day?
  • Does Jesus’ words go before anything else in the Bible?
  • Who is Jesus to you?
  • What role should Jesus play in your life?
It’s for a school project, by the way.

Thank you on forehand,

God bless you.

From my point of view:

*]What role does Jesus play in your life? He is my creator, my savior, and the way of truth in this world and the next.

*]Why did Jesus die on the cross? Because mankind owed a dept to the Almighty that was so big and so eternal that only the Almighty could atone for it.

*]Will Jesus come back to earth one day? Yes.

*]Does Jesus’ words go before anything else in the Bible? I haven’t really considered this question before. My initial instinct is that even though all of Scripture is inspired by God, the words of Jesus carry the most weight. On the other hand, I don’t believe that any other parts of Scripture contradict what Jesus said when it is interpreted correctly.

*]Who is Jesus to you? The third person of the Blessed Trinity who is both God and Man.

*]What role should Jesus play in your life? He created me to love and serve Him and live with Him eternally in His kingdom. I should always strive to worship him and follow his teachings and commandments.

  • What role does Jesus play in your life?
Jesus is my Lord and Savior. He helps me through the good and bad times. He is one of the three most important people in my life (the others being God the Father and the Holy Spirit). His teachings inspire me to do good, and to repent when I do bad.
  • Why did Jesus die on the cross?
He died on the cross as the once and final sacrifice for our sins. So, no more sacrificing animals for us! Good deal, eh?
  • Will Jesus come back to earth one day?
Yes, he will come again in the end times and resurrect the dead (both the good and bad), and the good will join him with their bodies in heaven.
  • Does Jesus’ words go before anything else in the Bible?
I’m not entirely sure what you mean by this, but if you’re asking if Jesus’ words are more important than anything else in the Bible, then it’s a yes and no. It is all equally important, because it is all inspired by the Holy Spirit, and to understand some of what Jesus says, you need to have read what happened before, and what happened after he spoke the words. But Jesus was the one who speaks truth and teaches us the way.
  • Who is Jesus to you?
Seems basically like the same question as the first, so refer to the first question for this answer.
  • What role should Jesus play in your life?
Again, see the first question. It is important that God be the most important thing in one’s life, otherwise it is easy to fall into sin. And by sinning we risk eternity in hell. That is why we must be repentant of our sins, because otherwise we are telling God that we know better than him about what is right and wrong. Jesus is God incarnate, who came to redeem the world by his sacrifice on the cross. He should be the one we turn to for understanding of God’s will so we too can be saved and be with him in heaven.

  • What role does Jesus play in your life?He is my Savior, my Beloved, my Lord and my God. He created me, He loves me, He died to save me. He listens to my prayers, He holds me when I’m scared, He teaches me with His Love.
  • Why did Jesus die on the cross? He died to save me and sinners like me because He loves us so much - He could not bear to let us die alone.
  • Will Jesus come back to earth one day? Yes and I do hope so much that it will happen in my lifetime.
  • Does Jesus’ words go before anything else in the Bible? The entire Bible was inspired by the Holy Spirit. Much of the Old Testament no longer has the same relevance for us now because it took place during the Old Covenant (such as the sacrificing of animals, refraining from touching the unclean, etc.) Jesus began the New Covenant, thus fulfilling the Old. So, yes and no.
  • Who is Jesus to you? Jesus is God to everyone, not just me; He is God whether I believe it or not. His Truth does not rely on what I may think of Him.
  • What role should Jesus play in your life? see the first answer.

What role does Jesus play in your life? He is my beloved. I speak to him all the time (silently, or I’d get looks!), yearn for him, and pray. I’m a big prayer person. I think back to what he has revealed to us about our Nature, the Nature of God, and what it is to be a “good” person, and how I should properly form my decisions.

Why did Jesus die on the cross? We gave offense to an infinite God- we couldn’t give reparation for that on our own. He came as the perfect offering, so we could be reconciled to God. It is because of him I can be absolved of my sins, even though I still mourn for continuing to sin.

Will Jesus come back to earth one day? Sure!

Does Jesus’ words go before anything else in the Bible? Not sure what you mean- The bible was compiled after his death… so as far as we have Jesus’ written word through the bible, yes, it would carry more weight than say, the prophets or apostles, etc.

Who is Jesus to you? He is the one I long to be with.

I can see now that I wasn’t entirely clear with my questions. But I’m grateful for the answers.
