Questions about poverty!

[eclipse880]

Hi,

I pray each day for people in poor countries that god may help them in difficult time’s especially these times when the world recession is happening. I also help in charity work, in every way possible but I wish more older teenagers like I would do some help for others in other countries! I have some questions about the poverty, plx help me to understand these questions

1)I just wondering does god hear by prayers especially these prayer requests??

1. Why does god not stop poverty?

3)So many children in poor countries are suffering from malnutrition and are dying because of this!

1. However what does the bible say about people helping people in poor counties, charity etc.

5)Will god help us in our life?

6)Will it increase your chances of getting to heaven??

I am with you on 1-5, but I offer this for #6: Whiel this is *no *guarantee of Heaven, I think it does increase yor chance to get there: the more charity in your heart, the more prayer on your lips then the more ordred your soul will tend to be toward the will of God, and the more ordered your soul toward the will of the Father the greater your desire for Heaven, hence the greater your desire to live your life according to His commandments and His will, hence the greater chance to reach it.

I was thinking about something a few hours ago that might be relevant to your questions about poverty. In particular I was pondering the phrase “for some people, hell begins on earth.” When I first heard this I was quite alarmed, because it implies that there are people who are tormented while on earth and then wind up in even greater torment in hell. This seems terribly unfair, especially for the poor who often live in torment. It turns out that the Christ’s teachings reveal a different picture. It is more likely that the poor and tormented are closer to God than the wealthy and comfortable. Thus while it is certainly our duty to help the poor, I don’t think we have to wonder why God allows poverty. It makes more sense to wonder why God allows wealth.

Item 1 God does hear your Prayers & perhaps you can unite your prayers with those of the Virgin Mary or any or all of the saints for added effect…

Item 2 Yes because man does not cooperate with God’s Graces. Too expand on the answer, If there were no needs, No wants, If all our needs were met. Would it be possible for any act of Charity? & without Charity how can we do the “good works” that we are so encouraged to do by the apostles & Christ.

Lastly, Thank you for your Love & sacrifice and your care & concern. These fine qualities will help you towards that Final item on your list. May God Bless you & your kindness & empower, strengthen & sustain you as you deal with the the Poverty of the world. Remember that the Poverty of the soul is even more important than worldly
wants & needs so please include some scriptural food amongst your donations.
