I have become increasingly interested about learning in the Roman Catholic faith. I have been a faithful Roman Catholic my entire life, but recently I have become more interested in learning. I have a few questions, and I want them to be answered from the Roman Catholic perspective please.
- On some websites I have looked at it says there are seven “princes” of heaven, and that they are the seven archangels. On others it says that the Roman Catholic church only recognizes three: Michael, Gabriel and Raphael. So here’s the first question: Are they other four, like Uriel, recognized by Roman Catholics as true and are they really seven “princes” of heaven?
- In contrast to the seven princes of heaven, there are supposedly seven princes of hell. Are they real? And if so, how are Satan and Lucifer two different princes?
- Last Question: On the pages where it spoke of the seven princes of hell, it said that each of them represented one of the deadly sins, like gluttony sloth and all that. Is that true? And if it is, what does the seven princes of heaven represent if anything?
