I have some questions that hopefully my Eastern Catholic brethren can answer for me.

I recently found to my liking, 3 icon lithographs (forgive me if I get the description wrong; they are not real handmade icons but are printed ones on cardboard). Two of them I don’t know much about.

My questions:
  1. Regarding St. Demetrius of Thessaloniki, maybe my internet-searching powers have failed me at this time of day but I can’t find any prayers online dedicated for this saint. I suppose I could just adapt or write my own (as I have done for other devotions in the past) for this particular saint but I’m wondering if anyone knows of any intercessory prayers dedicated to St. Demetrius of Thessaloniki?
  2. I am wondering about this icon titled “The Live-Bearing Spring,” which appears to be an icon of Mary and Jesus. I have never heard of such an icon and again, can’t find much about it on the internet.
The icon in question looks like this: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41uTYEmxQYL.SL500_AA300.jpg

This is the back of the lithograph icon: http://spiritonlinestore.com/imgs/i1895-40_icon10x12_cardboard_life_giving_spring_backside_enl.jpg

I’m assuming the big block of text (can’t tell if it’s Russian or Ukrainian?) is a prayer. The very last sentence looks like it’s saying “Amen” but I’m sure I’m very incorrect. I suppose if someone could translate the prayer on the back for me it would be appreciated, otherwise I am just looking for more info on the title “Live-Bearing Spring.” Or maybe some prayers online that are associated with this icon/title.
  1. I have seen an icon before which shows Mary being pierced with what looks like to be 7 arrows or spears. I can’t really find a picture of it at the moment but I’m sure someone knows what I’m talking about. What are the 7 arrows/spears meant to represent in this icon?
  2. What are some prayers to say on viewing an icon of Jesus and the Crucifixion?
Thanks for all your help.

Troparion
The world has found in you a great champion in time of peril, as you emerged the victor in routing the barbarians. For as you brought to naught the boasts of Lyaios, imparting courage to Nestor in the stadium, in like manner, holy one, great Martyr Demetrius, invoke Christ God for us, that He may grant us His great mercy.

Kontakion
God, who gave you invincible power and with care kept your city invulnerable, royally clothed the Church in purple with the streams of your blood, for you are her strength, O Demetrius.

Look down upon me, good and gentle Jesus,
while before Your face I humbly kneel and,
with burning soul,
pray and beseech You
to fix deep in my heart lively sentiments
of faith, hope and charity;
true contrition for my sins,
and a firm purpose of amendment.
While I contemplate,
with great love and tender pity,
Your five most precious wounds,
pondering over them within me
and calling to mind the words which David,
Your prophet, said of You, my Jesus:
“They have pierced My hands and My feet,
they have numbered all My bones.”
Amen.

That’s a typo or mistranslation. It is “Life-Bearing Spring.” If you google it under that name, you will find plenty of info. In summary, the story is that a hunter face an icon lying face down on the root of a tree. When he picked it up, a spring gushed out from the spot, and people were healed from the waters. That icon is known as the “Kursk Root” icon.
