First question,
My mom and I go to mass every Saturday evenings but the gospel and other readings are for Sundays, do these masses count as Sunday masses?

Second, I’ve read about the power of the Holy Mass and one part said "He forgives you all the venial sins which you are determined to avoid. He forgives you all your unknown sins which you never confessed. The power of Satan over you is diminished. " My question is, by unknown sins which you never confessed, do sins forgotten unintentionally forgotten to say at confession are also forgiven?

Thanks! and God Bless 🙂

The Vigil Mass celebrated Saturday evening counts as the Sunday Mass.
Following the Jewish tradition in which the Sabbath begins at Sunset, Sunday actually begins at sunset on Saturday.

To the second part of your question the answer is also yes. After I have said all the sins which I remember during my confession I say “I am sorry for all these sins and all the sins of my past.” Which includes those which I have forgotten as well.

May God Bless and protect us,
Jerry

It does not matter what the readings are. If you go to a wedding or other special mass on a Saturday evening you have also fulfilled your obligation.

the sunday obligation goes from 4pm on saturday i think to 12pm midnight so as long as you attend a mass inbetween those times you are in good shape.

first: as long as teh mass is on saturday after 4:00 pm it is a sunday vigil mass, and counts as a sunday mass.

second:that second question’s wording is very confusing…but I’ll try to answer it, if you forget about a mortal sin in confession, it is forgiven when the priest absolves you of your sin, but if you end up remembering it, you are to confess it during your next confession, but it alreadyt is forgiven
