Questions about wearing the Brown Scapular

I was enrolled in the brown scapular many years ago, but stopped wearing it. I want to begin again. Do I need to re-enroll with a priest or can I just begin wearing the scapular again?

Wear it, but do your best to be re enrolled as soon as possible.

I think it belongs in the same category as the plastic Jesus statues for the car’s dashboard popular in the 1950s. A silly practice.

Both “silly” practices are visible signs and reminders to live a life of Christian virtue…and the scapular would be a sacramental in addition…
 
You have absolutely no proof that the vision was Our Lady. There are many books in print that attribute all these visions to the works of extraterrestrials trying to influence our moral attitudes toward the good and away from the barbarism we have demonstrated for thousands of years.

No one said they were evil. Indeed the many apparitions and appearances that were taken as divine seem to be trying to get us to change our ways towards the good.
