What your heart says about Jesus? Please provide your answer.Thank You Very Much

And probably more accurately phrased - God The Son, the second Person of the Holy Trinity which is the One God.

Salam Everyone

Of course as a muslim I believe Issa (aws) is a great prophet, but not the son of God.

My heart says bump-bump bump-bump bump-bump.

But what it beleives about Jesus is nicely worded by St. Pope Leo the Great

[Letter of Pope Leo the Great to Flavian, bishop of Constantinople, about Eutyches, 449 Adopted by the Ecumenical Council of Chalcedon, 451

These three statements wreck the tricks of nearly every heretic. When God is believed to be both almighty and Father, the Son is clearly proved to be co-eternal with him, in no way different from the Father, since he was born God from God, almighty from the Almighty, co-eternal from the Eternal, not later in time, not lower in power, not unlike in glory, not distinct in being. The same eternal, only-begotten of the eternal begetter was born of the holy Spirit and the virgin Mary. His birth in time in no way subtracts from or adds to that divine and eternal birth of his: but its whole purpose is to restore humanity, who had been deceived, so that it might defeat death and, by its power, destroy the devil who held the power of death. Overcoming the originator of sin and death would be beyond us, had not he whom sin could not defile, nor could death hold down, taken up our nature and made it his own. He was conceived from the holy Spirit inside the womb of the virgin mother. Her virginity was as untouched in giving him birth as it was in conceiving him.
The tome only gets better after this.

What is your goal with these questions?

I think they are trying to figure out how many of them there are here. You know, for teamwork and all that. However, this question will find liberal Jewish people, too.

Jesus was both and much more. However, those who recognize Him as just a prophet have potential. 😉 I clearly have more in common with them, than with those who deny He ever existed, or reject Him outright.

Prophet? Son of God?

These terms have various definitions in English. I’m a Mormon, who believes that Muhammad was as much a prophet as Joseph Smith. I think we’re all (or at least the 50% of us who have a penis) Sons of God.

You’ve got to get more specific. At the same time, don’t lead the survey.

🙂 Interesting faith. I wanna know more about Mormonism. If you have some website good one. Mormonism is one of the sect of christian or some new religion. Is joseph smith alive right now and when its build this religion.

boy that was an easy poll!!

i just went with what Jesus said about Himself!
(since He never once claimed to be merely a prophet, i’ll let you guess what my answer was)

oh, i can’t just not say it!

He is the visible image of the invisible God.
He is the Word (who was with God and was God) made flesh.
He is I Am.
He is God’s Son, in whom the Father is well pleased.

all of these were either said by Jesus or by those who knew Him or by God Himself (at Jesus’ baptism and the transfiguration).

Joseph Smith has been dead for over 160 years. He was killed in a gunbattle. The religion he invented, Mormonism, is a new one with no historical, linguistic or archaeological support. Mormonism is a polytheistic religion that teaches that human men can become gods in the afterlife. Its rituals are lifted from Freemasonry. In this, Mormonism has much more in common with neo-paganism than with Judaism/Islam/Christianity.

Hello and May Peace and Blessing With You,

Well i am not interesting in converting to any other religion. I want to stick with my religion which is ISLAM. I just want to discuss with Non-Muslim people about religion. Especially Christians. I thought how it could be great if they starts believing in Oneness of God and stop saying Jesus PBUH The Son Of God. They will become One Of The Greatest People in the world if they say that. Oh yeah i view your profile and saw that you are converting to catholism. Before you do that i invite you to look for ISLAM also. Best Wishes For You.
