Questions for Protestants

Engle think thats the right spelling anyway it is a gay rights group in Canada, a while ago they posted on their site that they will not stop pushing for gay marriage until a gay couple can get married in any church in Canada.

Before the vote the United Church does have gay priests and marries gay couples. And I understood some Lutheren did too (not sure) so it already was open for them to marry.

Take this back to any church in Canada. If the priest is gay then perhaps they will be sympathitic to gay issues we are only human after all. Perhaps that alone is one of the reasons to stop gay priests.

I fear that while we are all fighting about whos the first church, how to worship, what to wear, etc, the rats are sneaking in. If we can get sentimental and tolerant about being kind to gay lifestyles why cant we be kind to each other on how we worship?

The world snickers at believers keeping busy arguing, maybe priests and pastors need to preach about the 7 churches more, I see we need to wake up and focus our eyes our our Lord and the rest will dim.

Kitty, you make a good point about the problem with gay people in the clergy. This is something that I suspect that liberals in churches would love to have us forget about…When you throw a stone in the pond, the ripples do indeed go on…
It was a sad day when homosexuality was dropped from the lists of mental diseases & defects. It left the predators among the gays free, while denying help to the many who might have sought help to live a chaste life.

Great! Now if they’ll just do something about the pedophiles.

Does it appeal to your sense of reality and truth? Have any Protestants here considered becoming Catholic because the Church stands for the truth in spite of the worlds opinion?

Hi all
I think that it is a good thing that the cc is banning gays from seminary. One of the job’s of a church is to protect it’s people.
Just because a person that is gay isn’t involved in a homosexual relationship doesn’t mean that they will never give into their temptations, that is like giving an alcoholic who no longer drinks a job as a bartender. I would be willing to bet that most kids who were molested are no longer members of the church. I would tell any person that is gay, there are many other places that they could serve the Lord, and if that is truly their desire they should have no problem serving is another capacity.

Well should i say not 100% banning (coz we do not want other to find christian pple are selfish only the rich and healthy pple can go church right) what we can do is to give a separate session for these group of pple, help them to walk an acceptable life again and not reject them 100%. God love is kind and unfailing to all, though he created only Adam and Eve, is human mindset that changes us, but God does not want his creation to walk a wrong way, thus as his kids, we ought to help and not bad mouth or shut them off.
