Is there a human being inside of a pregnant woman?
If yes, then why do you support the right to willfully kill, have killed, or allow to die, a human being?
If no, then
a) when does humanity occur?
b) what changes occur that bring about humanity?
c) what exists prior to humanity occuring?

If the answer is that humanity occurs sometime during pregnancy:
a) at what time during pregnancy does this occur?
or b) what changes occur during pregnancy that bring about humanity?

I am not calling names, or judging or condemning anyone. I just would like straight answers from those who support the right to abortion.

I can’t answer these questions because I believe life starts at conception, but before i converted and found Jesus, I was prochoice and basically it didn’t matter that I thought the baby inside the mother was a human being, I just believed in that crazy feminist notion that every woman “has a right to choose”…Now I know that I have Jesus in my life, I can’t even imagine that I believed that way…I mean, I would like to see what answers prochoicers have for those questions, but unless you have Jesus in your heart, prochoicers won’t convert…

b) what changes occur that bring about humanity?

They would say that an independent life is connected with brain functioning (as opposed to brain waves), and not merely a heartbeat.

c) what exists prior to humanity occuring?

They would say the incomplete beginnings of a human person.

If the answer is that humanity occurs sometime during pregnancy:
a) at what time during pregnancy does this occur?

My understanding is that since science has not yet determined a particular point, they do not know that point either. However, true brain functioning occurs between 6 and 8 weeks of gestation, so they would probably use that as the point of biological personhood.

I don’t think you’re going to get a lot of answers “from those who support the right to abortion,” because not many of those happen to participate on CAF and/or reveal such support on CAF.

The OP’s line of questioning makes me think they believe all pro-choicers (I dislike the label, by the way) are concerned with the fetus being human. I, for one, don’t care if it’s human because I don’t believe humanity has inherent value (I believe sentience does, which the fetus lacks for a few months).

Then again, I’m agnostic, so I don’t believe that I’m the prized creation of an infinite being and that everything else is free to be exploited for my pleasure.

a) when does humanity occur?
How about when brain waves first occur, signifying consciousness or subconsciousness? This would indicate the presence of a person. Can it be shown that a person exists if a conscious or subconscious state does not exist?
