Thank you for the link. If we were to abide by the health advice in the article, it sounds like I should start masturbating in my forties.
If you’re still masturbating in your forties, that’s a sign that something about your personality is repulsive to women.

Thank you all for your (name removed by moderator)ut. We haven’t really talked about it since then, but perhaps taking it from a science perspective will definitely help. He seems to disagree with me just because of the Theology behind it, so I will in deed take all of your points. Thanks

This statement seems completely ridiculous to me. I don’t even know how to respond to it.

It’s like it’s in another language.

Now that article made sense. I’d generally agree.

Love must be other-directed to be genuine. And it must involve an other-centeredness and a God centeredness, that is not available to someone who is so turned in on himself as to masturbate.

That being said, the grace of God is infinite, and can overcome both the sin and its consequences. Life is always happier in God’s grace, and with one’s own heart directed outward, instead of inward.

So that article made good sense.

rben, here westchesterinstitute.net/images/wi_whitepaper_life_print.pdf is a link to another article by Dr. Condic, which mentions in a footnote the article I was referring to in my earlier post, but it provides a cogent, IMO, rationale for a new human organism being present at fertilization. It may be helpful to use with your friend, as it does not rely on theological argument.
