Questions on obedience and other things

Hello all
  1. I would like to ask if let’s say in a hypothetical your parents said that you must remain in your room and you cannot go to confession. Would it be disobedience to disobey them and go to confession, if you think you might be in mortal sin? Do Catholics have an inalienable right to the sacraments?
  2. If you parents commanded you to do servile work (cleaning doors, painting the house, etc.) on a sunday, would it be a sin to disobey their command, since it could be sinful to do unnecessary servile work on a Sunday?

Minors should obey their parents and seek advice from their pastor on spiritual matters such as their need for confession and their Sunday obligations.

It is against forum rules for a poster to encourage a minor to disobey their parents.
 
Doesn’t the catechism say that if an authority commands you not to sin, you can disobey said authority?

Again: talk to your pastor, by phone or email if needed. You need guidance on moral questions, and things are NOT as cut and dried as you are making them out to be in your “hypothetical” scenarios.

It is NOT for strangers on the internet to tell a minor to disobey parents. A pastor can guide the individual in moral areas and speak to the parents if necessary.
