These questions were asked by my friend’s son (about 14 years old, so I hope to get explanation that 14 yo could understand).

Qn 2, I don’t really understand the question, but I think it’s wrong to say that Adam and Eve represented mankind. To my understanding, they were more of the Parents (?) of humankind. Thus, we inherit the effect of the original sin, although we never ate the forbidden fruit.
I’ve been thinking about question 3 for a few months now. Scripturally, the tree was there because the author wanted to introduce sin in the book of Genesis. But, no one seems to know why God created the tree (except God himself!
). Is it to test Adam’s and Eve’s obedience? hm…
Qn 1, is there any relation with Bable Tower? I need to brush up my knowledge on Genesis.
- Did God only created Adam and Eve? And thereafter, all their descendants were reproduced by them?? Then, why are there so many races and languages…don’t they supposed to be from the same parents??
- If Adam & Eve represented mankind, does it mean that everyone/all men ate the forbidden apple and not Adam & Eve alone??
- If God knows that they WILL choose to eat the apple, why did He put the apple there to tempt them and make them sin?? Then He won’t even need to send Jesus to save us at all…
