The translation I am using is the New American Bible.
When I read this I feel a sense of shame and fear because of my own lack of faith.
Also, I do not see a “compassionate Father” in this. It seems that the Lord Jesus is rebuking them, but they were not allowed to recognize Him.
Also, is this a good reason that in the Lord’s prayer we pray “and lead us not into temptation” because the two were restrained and God can withhold His grace and thus let us be led into temptation ?
b) Does this imply that there is only one correct interpretation of scripture and that only Jesus can reveal that interpretation similar to the same impression I get from Jesus interpretation of the Parable of the Sower and the seed ?
c) Why start with Moses and not start with Creation, Genesis or does the referrence to Moses imply the “Books of Moses” which would
include Genesis ?
Did the disciples sin and if yes does this also imply the difference betweeen venial sin and mortal sin ?
b) Should a lack of this type of experience by those going to Mass imply a serious failure in
the priest who acts in the person of Christ ?
Resurrection ?
b) Where did Jesus go ? After all, He is physically raised ?
Thanks

- I am surprised that there is no referrence to the “sin” being committed by the 2 disciples or
