Hello everyone! I’m not sure if this is the right spot to ask his question as I am new to this website. I apologize for the length of this question, but I have recently been deeply moved by my faith and I want to be the best Catholic I can be, and I would really like to learn about and understand Roman Catholic rules in regard to such topics as fasting (I read that it is expected to abstain from meat every friday of the year, ash wednesday, and good friday) , how to dedicate sunday, being the sabbath, to God, and any traditions, rituals, activities, practices there may possibly be to practice, no matter how small or insignificant they may seem. I am open to hearing from anyone, however I would prefer the responses to come from those who are honestly knowledgable about these topics. Also, are there any books or writings I can refer to in order to learn about rules, traditions, practices, etc? Also, I would like to know about certain prayed that are recommended/expected to be said daily, and when it is recommended to say these (if there are any). In addition, if anyone has any advice or information they feel are important that were not mentioned here, I would very gladly accept it. Thank you very much for taking the time and helping me learn about the faith I have very recently come to love and put extreme import on. God bless!

:yyeess: Nice to know You!

The Catechism of the Catholic Church is the best point to start.

I assume from your post that you are already practicing (frequenting the sacraments, and attending Mass)

Ask your priest, they’ve dealt with it before, and I am sure they have plenty of resources. Its their job afterall.

Join a RCIA class. Even though you’re probably confirmed, it is a great way to learn more about your faith!
