Questions Related to Promises To God

For promises to God, I have a few questions about how they work:

Can associate pastors dispense promises? Are promises binding if the person is a minor, or made when they were a minor?

You shouldn’t be making promises to God to begin with, apart from the advice and guidance of a spiritual director. You mention in another thread that you struggle with anxiety, so it’s highly inadvisable to make promises to God, as this could further those problems. Speak with your priest.

Do you mean religious vows? If so, no. Only a Bishop or in some cases the Pope can dispense solemn vows

Are promises binding if the person is a minor, or made when they were a minor?

Again, I am unsure as to if you mean a solemn religious vow or a ‘promise’.
Solemn vows, as long as they fulfill the requirements for solemnity, are valid no matter what,

I don’t believe ‘promises’ have any canonical weight. That’s between you, your spiritual director, and God then. As Fr. Edward said,
