In not knowing sufficient to keep us out of Hell?

Is not accepting a teaching the same as Not knowing it?

Does God have to be JUST? Or can he just forgive everyone for everything?

Depends on if the not knowing is by your choice or not. If you never knew, through no fault of your own, yet live according to the truth that is in your heart, planted there by God, then you have a shot at heaven. On the other hand, if you, as an act of your will, chose not to know, then you’re in big trouble. You will be held accountable for what you chose not to know.

No. Not accepting a teaching is worse than not knowing. We can only sin within our free will. It is more willful to reject a teaching than not to know a teaching.

God is both infinitely just and infinitely merciful. Justice is part of truth. Mercy is part of love. Truth and love should never be separated. 🙂

It seems to me that the more we know about our faith the more responsibility we have to live up to it. I am amazed at how little most Catholics really know about our faith. They also seem not interested in learning. I’m sure our Lord will deal with each individual as they deserve.

I don’t think that not knowing will keep anyone out of hell.
Not accepting a teaching is not the same as not knowing it. It is willful disobedience.
God is just and loving but I don’t believe He will just forgive everyone unless they repent.

The best policy is to share what you know with those willing to listen. Pray for those that don’t practice their faith and do the best you can at being a good Catholic. Then we might have a chance on making it home at the end of this journey.

Take care and God Bless.

If Christianity is true then most people are going to Hell. tldm.org/News8/realityofhell.htm

The ‘Bible God’ is not just to begin with so why would you expect Him to go easy on everyone. Wouldn’t that just ruin all His fun?

He’s gotta big old barbecue planned and He ain’t cancelling the party anytime soon.

Who is this Bayside Ministry who put that site together ? I clicked on “introduction” and there is no info there.
If you want to know the TRUE teachings of the Catholic Church, read “Catechism of the Catholic Church, Second Edition” revised in accordance with the official Latin text promulgated by Pope John Paul II, first printed in US in March 2000.
I hope that no-one believes in everything they see on the internet. There are fringe groups all over.

Don’t know much about them. I was just looking for some old school views of Hell, you know the kinda Hell Jesus and the Saints talked about. I was getting tired of all the mamby pamby sissy talk about the afterlife. Let’s show folks what it’s really all about I say. 👍

mamby pamby sissy talk about the afterlife.
Revelation 22:14-15
"Blessed are they that do his commandments,
that they may have right to the tree of life,
and may enter in through the gates into the city.

For outside are dogs…"

Free-will…free-will my friend. Just as the angels are free-will thinking spirits, some chose to rebel (i.e.,Lucifer and his supporting angels).

***Well done, but where does God provided opportunity to know the truth come in to the process? For example many read these post often supported by the Bible and other evidence n simply chose to ignore it as it does not confrom with there beliefs of what they have been taught.

Does this “JUST GOD” have to judge us based on what He God allows us to know, makes possible for us to know?***

Love and prayers,
Pat

It looks like the Bayside New York group who were condemned long back. From Wikipedia
According to various Catholic sources, the Bayside visitations do not fulfill criteria that would qualify the alleged events as legitimate Marian apparitions and so are unrecognized. In addition to these concerns, the Diocesan Bishop of Brooklyn at the time of the alleged apparitions, Bishop Francis Mugavero, made the following declaration on November 4, 1986:[1] I, the undersigned Diocesan Bishop of Brooklyn, in my role as the legitimate shepherd of this particular Church, wish to confirm the constant position of the Diocese of Brooklyn that a thorough investigation revealed that the alleged “visions of Bayside” completely lacked authenticity.
…Therefore, in consultation with the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, I hereby declare that:
1. No credibility can be given to the so-called “apparitions” reported by Veronica Lueken and her followers.
2. The “messages” and other related propaganda contain statements which, among other things, are contrary to the teachings of the Catholic Church, undermine the legitimate authority of bishops and councils and instill doubts in the minds of the faithful, for example, by claiming that, for years, an “imposter (sic) Pope” governed the Catholic Church in place of Paul VI.

All the more reason to not solely depend on the Bible but upon the teachings of the Church. The teachings come from teachers, the teachers are living, breathing creatures that have been given the responsibility to teach His word properly.

Someone who’s been taught by other religious groups has alot of work to do to come to know the truth, but that’s not God’s fault, it’s not like He didn’t put the Truth out there and actually breathe Authority unto the teachers of the Truth.

So someone who rejects the truth because he was unfortunate enough to have been born into a faith which doesn’t teach the fullness of the Truth, I believe, will be judged on what parts of the truth he follows. But, woe to him, he who rejects the Holy Spirit’s promptings when more of the Truth is revealed to this person. It’s still our responsibility to learn more and not become stagnant in our faith.
