All Catholics are Christian, but not all Christians are Catholic. A Catholic IS a Christian. In fact, they were the FIRST Christians!

Catholics are not only Christians, but the FIRST Christians, and as Jesus promised, the Gates of Hell (or of Death) have not nor will ever prevail.
Jesus died for our sins and gave the keys to his Kingdom to Peter (Kepha in Aramaic), gave him and the apostles the power to forgive sins in his name, and promised to lead us through the Holy Spirit forever.
We believe we are saved through grace, given faith and through faith and works are justified.
The Creed of a Catholic, better known as the Apostles Creed:
We believe in one God, the Father the almighty, Creator of heaven and earth.
We believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord;
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontias Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried
He descended to the dead. On the 3rd day he rose again and ascended into Heaven where he is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
His kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.

Hi dawn…I know what you are talking about. Some Christian Catholics or even Christians, arent really Christians. They dont have a personal relationship or dont believe in the real Presence. It just depends if the individual really accepts and follows our LORD, no matter what the denomination! But Catholics were the first Christians. That is how they got that name. THe Christians were one universal church.

That is a lot to ask. There is so much to answer.
All Catholics are Christians, a Catholic is the same as a Catholic Christian.
God is the Trinity, three in one with the Father as the source, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He is eternal and all powerful. He loves us.
Jesus was fully man and fully God, he came down from heaven to save all of humanity. He suffered and died and was buried. On the 3rd day he rose again and he ascended into heaven. He will come again at the end of the world to judge the living and the dead.
Salvation is by faith and works through the grace of God. Its not like you have to do a certain number of works to be saved. You have to be willing to do the works though and it is important that you try. You can lose salvation because we have free will to reject God.
Eternity is not necisarily looked at on a timeframe perspective. It is looked at as if everything is in the present. God is outside of time, and he created time so he can travel through it. The crucifixion was in the past, it is in the present, and it is in the future. It is one sacrifice, but it is a perpetual sacrifice. God is not manipulated by time.
