I have these Questions:

1. Is the tithing done in Churches like the tithing done in the Bible?

2… What is the prosperity gospel?

1. Are their contradictions in the Gospels of when Jesus was crucified, when he was buried, what time of day he was buried, how long was he in the grave, when he was resurrected?
2. In the Old Testament, is is true that Yahweh like a tribal deity in that that nation or tribe created the concept of God in order to collect all of their ideas and their personalty and their worldview and they deify this world view and actually say it was God who came up with these traditions and customs and laws. So this is why you have Yahweh saying that the Israelites probably wanted to take over the land and made up the idea of God to justify what the where doing, and glorify it?

Is the violence that takes places in the Old Testament supposed to be historical? How do you explain it?

Tithing is not a requirement of the Catholic Church. However, our parish holds it up as a standard to strive towards meeting.

Since all these questions are different topics, they should each be addressed in their own thread. But if you have more than one question about the same topic, you may ask them in that thread. And you may create as many new threads as you like to get your questions answered.

It is difficult and confusing to try to follow a thread and answer questions when there are multiple topics being discussed. Sort of like trying to keep track of five toddlers all going in different directions…:
