Firstly, I was watching a Catholic show this morning called ‘Truth in Crisis’ and noted that they said that Pope Benidict XVI invited people who were practising witchcratf to a vatican event- is this true- b/c if so I better get my butt over to the SSPX Church. Secondly, why did we have to change the Good Friday prayer for profidious Jews- this is sacred heritage and what right tdo we have to change it (noting that Pope Pius XI REFUSED to change it when a group called ‘friends of Israel’ asked him to.) Please explain- this is very trounling.

First, stop watching conspiracy theory shows and visiting conspiracy theory websites.

As to who the Pope invited to the Vatican… I have no idea who he invited, but so what if he did? Are we not called to evangelize to the ends of the Earth? Inviting people of other religions to the Vatican is a way to evangelize them and help them. I’m not sure why you have a problem with that?

As to joining SSPX… schism is a mortal sin. Think twice before denying the Keys of Peter.

As to the prayer for the Jews… what’s your problem with that? The liturgy is changeable and the Pope excercised his authority to change it. After so many years of hard work to create a good relationship with the Jews-- a step in evangelizing them-- why would we purposely do things to alienate them when it is in our power not to?

You need to start reading some solid church documents. These things you see as “problems” are simply not.
 
Fatima.org is a group run by a priest who feeds misinformation. Be sure to get on his mailing list and see if he doesn’t hit you up for money like a regular old TV preacher.

I used to get their stuff be he dead wrong on a ton of things and (at least) disobedient to his bishop.

If he told me it was raining outside I go get wet myself to be sure.
 
first stay away from anti-Catholic websites as your source of news and info about the Catholic Church. life is too short to waste with the bad guys
 
I don’t think it’s anti-catholic really- maybe just misinformed.
 
the ‘joining SSPX’ was just a joke, I would never leave.
