So, I am pretty sure that i am putting this in the correct forum, but I do not know, so move it if it needs moving.

I live in Boston, and we recently held our annual Eucharistic Congress. While there, I met a semenarian of a particular order that is noted for helping people drop addictions to heavy drugs, like crack and Heroine. He also mentioned being brought to this order in a place called Majagoria, possibly spelled Majigoria or Magigoria, I don’t know how to spell it.

I was wondering if anybody knew the name of this order or anything else about it. Unfortunately, I may have to look into this for a family member sooner or later, not quite sure what is up with the whole matter , so I am trying to break ahead and try to get some early information.

Thanks for anything in advance.

Please do some research on Medjugorje before you or your family get involved with this order. This apparition has not been approved, and there have been some restrictions on it.

There are many Catholic groups who do great work with troubled youth, you can likely find one that is not involved in something that is not settled.

“kage_ar” You are 100% correct in your statements about Medjugorie. Those visions have not only NOT been approved. I believe, they have also been denounced by Vatican officials.

I should have clarified that Mother Elvira Petrozzi is not directly linked to the “happenings” at Medjugorie. She is a nun, who has founded a legitimate Order dedicated to the spiritual rehabilitation of addicts. I believe they are called the Cenacolo Community. She was recently featured on several programs on EWTN. Including, “EWTN Live” with Fr. Mitch Pacwa.

Unfortunately, when I “Googled” Mother Elvira… that “Medjugorie” link with her photo… came up. I should have looked at it better. Sorry if it was misunderstood.
