I have a quick question. Let’s say someone has an impure thought but isn’t sure if it’s sinful (which probably means it isn’t). Would going back and replaying it in their minds to determine whether or not it was sinful itself a sin?

I remember reading a thread that discussed a similar thing but I can’t find it.
 
If the thought is “impure” then by definition it is sin.

Read Gal 5, even if one does not know it is sin, it is still sin. Simply choose to walk in the Spirit so you will not feed the sin nature.
