Do the spouses of Knights qualify for life insurance through them? DH has a policy with them but I didn’t know whether I could get it also. Can’t seem to find it on the website and since we’ve moved he hasn’t transferred to a new council for me to ask his agent.

Ohh okay. I’ll have to get some insurance elsewhere for now then. Insurance, wills, being a grownup is full of paperwork 🤷

You can get insurance immediatly! Contact your insurance agent and they’ll get you added. My dh just joined this year and we both have policies…no waiting period at all…

Concur.

BUT:
The “new member policy”, which was available to both a member (and which was actually available at any time, but was “advertised” to new members) and his spouse is no longer offered as of this past 1 January 2009. That product has been replaced by an annuity which may be purchased (by either or both spouses) instead.

There are plenty of other policies and products available, however, which an agent should be happy to explain to you.

[EDIT:
PS.
To my Brother Knights: If you are carrying around the old green Form-100 membership forms, get rid of them – They are no longer good.
The new Form-100 is kind of brown, and 8-1/2 x 11.

Just saw this…
Yes you can get insurance with KofC from day one of DH joining.
Also, kids are eligible, we took KofC insurance for DS when he was less than a month old…

Sorry, my experience with Kof C insurance is from a looong time
ago. To the best of my knowledge, my ex still has it and I was on
as a rider (which is not what you want, if is still done the way it
was, too small a coverage) So if you can’t contact a representative
right now, go with a good “mutual” company for some term that can be converted.
