Ok, I will end this thread by saying that Catholicos Patriarch Mar Papa Bar Gaggi was a great Patriarch of the Church of the East, therefore, “East Syriac”. He sat upon the Patriarchal See from the year 247 to 326.

Indeed Alexandrian.

He was also of Persian lineage… I believe the son of the Persian King…

Cool. I think, and I could be mistaken, that our brother in Christ on this forum whose name is Marduk is also of Persian descent, though he is Alexandrian. It is an interesting combination.
