QUIZ:- What Catholic Religious Order Fits Your Personality?

The Dominicans. I’ve gotten the Franciscans on other quizzes. I’m all right with either, really; there’s no bad result.

Woops, I didn’t see that it was intended for potential nuns. I guess men can be Dominicans, too.

Dominican even though I chose St. Therese over St. Dominic. I pray the LOTH and the Little Crown over the rosary. Sure I chose teaching CCD class over other forms of active service, but that’s because I have a B. A. in Bible. I prefer silent prayer to the active life, so it’s a mystery to me why the program chose Dominicans for me. Maybe it’s not that accurate? 🤷 🙂

Dominicans. I always figured I’d either be a Dominican or a Benedictine, so I’m fine with that answer 😛

My result is The Holy Spirit Adoration Sisters

I am a man and so I could only become a Nunk.

I am to become a Sister (sister-brother Nunk) Adorer of the Royal Heart of…(apparently).

However, I had two problems with this quiz.
  1. Our Lady of Guadaloupe is not to be placed in amongst other saints - she is Our Lady QUEEN OF SAINTS. This is highly disresepectful to the dignity of the Immaculate Conception. To put her in rivalry over her little children.
  2. How can this quiz possibly make up such impossible conclusions.
  3. This quiz is obviously designed to gear people towards Traditional Catholic Orders. I know, because I did not put the EF form as a preference, and yet, the conclusion was that I would best belong to an Order with this Rite as priority.
Crystal Waters, maybe you do not mean for this, but it would seem that this quiz is less than desirable in its lack of respect for the saints and for our Holy Mother and also it is manipulative.

I hope this doesn’t put false ideas in young ladies’ heads (and those of prospective nunks).

The blessed virgin Mary also has the title of Saint Mary

catholic.org/saints/saint.php?saint_id=4967
PROTESTANT TITLE.

She is Our Lady Queen of Saints.

Any demeaning title is anti-Mary proselytizing.

Words to Fr. Sopocko - “I am not only the Queen of Heaven, but also the Mother of Mercy, and your Mother”.

There are many who do not understand The Immaculate Conception but let’s not add to their ignorance, and instead, let’s show some respect.

If it is protestant then I sincerely do apologize, I love the blessed virgin Mary and would never intentionally disrespect her 😊

Maybe Saint Mary is a Protestant title where you come from, but it is a common and very Catholic title to my understanding (and not just because of the old Bing Crosby movie The Bells of St. Mary’s :D). When you’re in my neck of the woods, you can visit St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the fourth parish founded in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

I was puzzled by the inclusion of Our Lady of Guadalupe only because there isn’t an order dedicated to her name, unlike the Carmelites who are the Brothers of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

And describing Mary as St. Mary is perfectly acceptable, because she is a saint–the greatest saint, but a saint nonetheless. Her titles do not take away the fact that she is a human being like the rests of us except in her privileges, her merits, and in her virtues.

I don’t care what they call their Churches. The names need to be updated. She is clearly Our Lady Queen on Saints. There are many Catholic Churches called St. Mary… Doesn’t make them right. Many places in the West were anglicanized. Mary is Our Lady Queen of Saints. Period. Those who don’t update their diocesan titles for Churches are themselves ignorant to some degree. Maybe they haven’t thought upon these things deep enough. But she is Our Holy Mother Queen of Saints and this FACT is not disputable.

Wrong. It is a misunderstanding and an anglicanization of the Catholic faith which destroys trust in Our Lady Our Lady’s heroic life went far deeper than turning away sin and being kind. And this suffering deserves her proper AND REAL title.

Our bishops would appear to disagree with your opinions on this matter. If you don’t care for parishes being named St. Mary’s you need to take your issue to them. 😉 But they will tell you what others here have written, that Mary is a saint. To describe her by the title St. Mary is perfectly acceptable and proper.

Sorry, you need more than your opinion on the matter to state this so emphatically. You are just plain wrong, friend. Blessings on you. 🙂
