. Clear distinction between the two. Also to note, that the Dogma of
The Immaculate Conception and the apparitions had not come about yet in the time of the early Bishops and so we have this to our advantage in being able to understand; that said, many early Church Fathers interpreted from Scripture the very special devotion due to the our Holy Mother, so many of them, in fact, that we might as well say that all the early saints recognised this truth. As the CCC clearly says, the faith of the whole Church does not err, and so she has not erred. In addition, there is a hierarchy. A kind of hierarchy of
humility. We know there is hierarchy in grace, because there are realms and dominions of angels. And so it must apply to the rest of Heaven. Apart from the Creator Himself - no one outdoes Him in generosity - Our Lady is not to be matched in
humility - as His Mother, Spouse and Daughter - and then we have the humility of the saints. I think everyone knows this deep down so not sure why there is any counter-argument. There are countless reasons why the proper address is either Holy Mother, Mother of Mercy, Blessed Virgin, Immaculate Conception, Queen of Saints, Queen of Heaven, Queen of Angels…and I can assure you that Litanies DO NOT, not truly Catholic ones, have any reference to a ‘Saint Mary’ - which Saint Mary would that be? I’m sure there have been many St. Marys?! To distinguish between a saint and our Holy Mother is not only a matter of personal choice, it is a matter of correct form, and moreso, a matter of reverence for the Blessed Virgin, in the Order of Grace. :harp:
Still not comfortable with a women’s Order as my best choice!
