And she was a great role model. As a child I was torn between wanting to be her and wanting to be Jackie Kennedy!

I am too young to remember the mousekeeteers but I do remember seeing specials with clips from the past about them. I also remember her doing adds in the 70s (was it for peanut butter?)

This is definitely sad, but joyous if she is in Heaven

Yes I think that she did do commercials for Jiffy peanut butter if I remember right.

Your rememberer misfired - it was Skippy. But then, I’m older than dirt so I remember things from way back. But what I did yesterday? Or even this morning? Forget it! 😉
 
I always enjoyed the Disney shows she was on. Not so much the Beach Blanket Bingo stuff!!

Eternal rest grant to her, Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon her.

I have no doubt her reunion with Walt Disney was a wonderful one.

Glad she no longer is suffering under the debiliating disease of MS.

We always talk about the virtues of picking up and carrying our crosses, and rightly so. But we also fight to find cures for the diseases that cause so much suffering.

Cancer
Alzheimers
MS and other neurological diseases
Diabetes
Mental illnesses
On and On and on…
Christ has never told us that we are not allowed to overcome them or find ways of overcoming them

We should NEVER romanticize suffering. Never.
 
I remember her for her songs. “Tall Pall”. and Oh Dio Mio especially, and I remember her appearing on the Dick Clark Show.

Yes, RIP, but does anyone know, she was divorced from her first husband and married again. Just wondered what the status of that was. She suffered so much from MS, and I hope that she is in heaven.

She was one of the last “clean cut” stars of my day, and I think a good Catholic.
