It is my sad duty to announce the sudden death of Father Nicholas Gruner.
He died suddenly late today of a heart attack while working at his Fatima Center office.
At the moment, I do not know more than this. Please re-visit our page for updates.
He was truly the world expert on Fatima. He was more knowledgable on this subject, and on the true nature of the Fatima Message than anyone else.
Father Gruner’s Fatima Center will have more information tomorrow.
Please remember Father Gruner in your prayers, a good friend and a true Catholic Crusader.

Requiescat in pace.

Requiem aeternam dona eum et lux perpetua luceat eium. Requiescat in pace. Amen.

I thought the name sounded familiar.

That is sad. Eternal rest grant unto him o Lord.

Prayers for Fr. Gruner, I have been praying for him for a long time. He was NOT an expert on Fatima, He distorted it gravely. I pray he made his peace with God and Our Lady before he died. God Bless, Memaw
I do remember some controversy, but I don’t remember what it was.

I saw this posted on Facebook: “Pray for Fr. Nicholas Gruner who died today of a heart attack. Now he knows the Truth.” I fully support the call for prayers, of course, but wonder if it’s in the best of taste to use this priest’s death to make some jab about his views. Seems really lacking in charity.

I agree. We should be praying for the repose of this priest’s soul and put aside any grievances about his beliefs for the moment. Now is not the time.

I don’t think anyone is"using his death" to make jabs about his views. He made his views widely known for many years. He was not allowed to even say Mass at the Fatima Shrine. Let’s don’'t make a “saint” of him tho. And I am sure he does “know the TRUTH” now as we all will when we die. God Bless, Memaw

Actually, there is at least one person. As I mentioned in my post, this person was on Facebook. And I didn’t share everything that this person wrote out of charity but it was a full-on assault against Fr. Gruner.

But why emphasize any of this on the day of his death? The moment he died, his suspension became null and void and he experienced his particular judgement. It seems appropriate to leave him and his soul to God at least on this one day.

No one is judging his soul, of course that’s between him and God. It is what it is. But what he left behind does bother me. I thought we were being very charitable, considering ! God Bless, Memaw

I’m not sure why you’re personalizing my comments to you or anyone else on this thread. I was clearly speaking of someone I encountered on Facebook on the day of Fr. Gruner’s death – not on CAF today.

I was commenting on the fact you thought we were being uncharitable. This is not Facebook.God Bless, memaw

 I no longer believe you’re reading my posts. No, this isn’t Facebook. But in my original post, I clearly noted that I was referring to something that **did **take place on Facebook.
