I don’t think there is a group of any kind of people who have not been enslaved somewhere in the history of the world.
Perhaps, I really do not know. I was responding to a particular post regarding African slaves.

I have never heard of anti-semitism referred to as racism. Jews are not a racial group as far as I know. And, what the heck is scientific racism???
Antisemitism is racism against the Semitic “race.” You’re talking about anti-Judaism which is based on religion.

Paul didn’t encourage slavery or say that it was good per se; he just didn’t want strife between slaves and their masters.

True, but even if that is the case, then it would still not be true across the board. So for example, even though there is a stereotype that says Asian people are good at math, it would not make sense to hire an accountant on that basis even if it is more often true than not.
I agreed with you by qualifying my conclusion with the word “generally”.

Didn’t Archbishop Rummel of New Orleans excommunicate segregationist political leaders in Louisiana?

Anti-semitism developed out of the religious hatred of the Jews from earlier times. Anti-semitism became entirely race-based. For example, in Nazi Germany, one could be considered racially a “Jew” if their parents were Jewish, even if the entire family had converted to a different religion. The religion was no longer important, semites were viewed as a n ethnic group.

Scientific racism was a body of knowledge that developed out of the late 19th century. It was an attempt, mostly by Europeans, to claim that certain races were somehow less evolved or otherwise inferior. Again, the Nazis used this to say that the Jews and Russians were inferior people who needed to be conquered. The Japanese used it to claim that the Chinese were an inferior, less capable people who needed guidance. It was what we now consider a pseudo-science, examining things such as the shape and size of the skull, facial features, etc.
