There’s a lot of subjective factors which go into crowning any band as “the best,” but there are quite a few objective criteria as well, such as the technicality and originality of the music plus record sales. Ever since the release of OK Computer, I really don’t know any other band whose ‘next album’ is always a major international event. Mind you, I quit buying Radiohead albums after Hail to the Thief, and didn’t even listen to that one much, but you gotta give credit where it’s due.
