We need to replace a broken shower head. I like the *idea *of a “rain shower” but I’m not sure if I’d actually like it once installed. I’ve never used one.

Price range on shower head varies from a few dollars to over a hundred dollars. Maybe I’d be happier with the cheap showerhead rather than a fancy expensive showerhead…but I’d really like to try a rainshower.

If you have used a rainshower style shower head, would you care to share your thoughts? Do you love it? Do you prefer the regular old showerhead?

I prefer old fashioned shower heads. Preferably the ones that aren’t water savers. I have long thick hair and those water saver heads just don’t rinse well enough. My scalp gets itchy and I am always feeling leftover shamp/cond residue. Yuck! 😛 So that’s one vote for old fashioned. 😃

I love our rainshower head. It’s large diameter. Mine is installed in the ceiling, but they make attachments so you can convert a regular shower into a rainshower.

Can’t really p(name removed by moderator)oint what I like most, I guess it’s bigger and above me (I’m tall) and has a nice spray.

I agree. Although I don’t like them so “old fashioned” you can’t get it off the wall. I like a good old “shower masage” one, has only like three or four options for shower type and it has a hose so you can take it down to do things like wash certain parts of your body a regular shower head won’t or wash that dog in the shower (yes, I have done it! I now have a sink in my laundry room with a special hose and shower head attachment specially made for washing pets).

My hair is thick too and even when short those “water saver” ones don’t give you enough water to do much more than maybe wet it!
