Raising money for a funeral

Forgive me if this is not the right place to post this

Two days ago my friend passed away and his family doesn’t have enough money for a funeral, people are trying to sell things and do fundraisers for him but are still very short, does anyone know if the Church helps out in any way? Thank you God bless

and suggest that you ring your parish or bishop’s office for advice. Not being in your country I don’t know what’s available there but these offices should be able to advise you.
