Ok, there are stories of modern christians raising the dead. Today, why are they not going to funeral homes to raise the dead? Would not a series of such ressurrections cause a revival? Does the Bible teach that we should be raising the dead today? Do you personally know of any such ressurrections?

Why didn’t Jesus heal every single person he came into contact with or heard about or saw? Scripture shows that he did not. Years of prayer might yield someone dying of cancer vs. one prayer might effect healing in another case. If we could “formula-ize” God’s work, God would be in our box. Jesus said “I only do what I see My Father do.” There is a time and place for everything, and God decides. In scripture we see him heal people in a variety of ways: spitting on mud and rubbing it on eyes, saying to someone" do you want to be healed.?" OR simply walking by the people. At times it seems people are healed by their faith (as the woman with the issue of blood) and other times it seems the person had no part to play in their healing (Lazarus raised from dead.)

I know a man named Percy Jeptha from Africa, whose brother in law was stabbed several times, in the morgue for several hours (or days, I don’t remember). People prayed for him and he came back to life. We in the US can’t believe this stuff…but go to Africa and you see a completely different kind of Christianity.

Sorry if this offends some…I didn’t make this up.🙂

Sorry but thats not true. If he “came back to life” it simply means he was not really dead.
