I was at the Rally opposing HB2354 at Rep. Jack Franks’ office this afternoon. Was anyone else? Well obviously lots of people were. I mean of those of you who are reading this now, were any of you also there? Just curious.

No, I wasn’t but good for you! My state rep. is against that bill… I called to thank him for that. 👍

No, I wasn’t there eigther, but I would like to see the burrial of the aborted kids in a religious service in their plastic bags

I think they deserve, at the very least, to be buried in something more appropriate than a plastic bag. 😦

Ah. That makes sense now.

We were standing along the highway outside his office. Not a suitable place to conduct any kind of burial.
Were there many people there? Did his office respond in any way? Do you think it will make the paper?

Probably at least 200, It’s hard to say. I guess it would depend on when you did the counting. I am not aware of any official response. If there is one it will probably be in the Northwest Herald tomorrow. Jack loves to get his name in the paper.

Some of us had signs saying “HONK IF YOU’RE PRO-LIFE” or “HONK IF YOU OPPOSE HB2354”. Hundreds of people honked. The kids especially loved it when truckers blew their air horns.

There were also a few counter-protesters, of sorts. One car drove past with a sign saying “I PRAY YOU FAIL. PRO CHOICE.” Another car drove slowly past with the passenger giving us all the one-finger salute the whole while.

The Herald mentioned this, but just barely.

Pending legislation that deals with sex education and what information patients receive has mobilized both sides of the abortion issue in McHenry County.
Supporters say that the Reproductive Health and Access Act guarantees that people have accurate information related to health care options and provides for comprehensive, age-appropriate sex education. Opponents say the legislation would compromise religious freedoms and lead to taxpayer funded abortions.
Opponents held a prayer vigil and picketed 63rd District State Rep. Jack Franks’ Woodstock office Saturday. On Sunday, the Mc Henry County Citizens for Choice hosted a speaker from the ACLU of Illinois…
I guess fewer people in my area frequent these forums than I thought.
