:hug1: dolphinlove is my friend in Christ, so I know exactly what she have meant…

:blessyou: you all…:shamrock2:
Thank you Sam, as i thought, people would take it the wrong way.
May Jesus bless you and all your family, I continue to pray for you

I have been around CAF for some time now, and though well intended you may not share the history of Br Sams time here as Dolphin love does.

It is good for us when some one directly addresses personal message to some one to wait a little while for that person to respond.

Too often in my life i jump fast for what i see as the good of all only to find it was me driving pushing the spirit out of the drivers seat.

From my heart i am sorry for any misguided comments made to you, please as you are be patient with us.

Blessings to you all

At His time may Allah show us the sign to begin blessed times increasing our devotion to Him that He be glorified

Excuse me, before you go shoot down my statement, do you even know the reason Sam is here, he *WANTS * to become Christian! That is why i said what i said, i wasnt been disrespectful thanks very much, just saying im praying for what he wants!
It’s not what you said, it’s the way you said it. You called Islam a “false religion” which is disrespectful to Islam itself. Just because one Muslim wants to be come Christian, doesn’t give you the right to demonize Islam in order to convert him.

You could have just said “I’m praying for you”.

Best i know from reading their posts both Br Sam and Brethren Dolphin love see it as a false religion and share the same view. So given the post was one to another it makes sense to me.

Like your self i am very uncomfortable with the term used and do share your concern, but between them is between them and before us we are blessed to see where they are at.

I have learned (hoping to keep) the wisdom in what you are sharing for my own chats here.

Bless you

This thread is about Ramadan.I would not like to see it deteriorate into something it is not meant to be.
Yes, there are many differences between what Christianity and Islam teach. As Pope Benedict XVI says, “Dialogue is communication across differences.” Let us begin with what we share.
Jews, Christians, and Muslims share a common spiritual heritage that can be traced to Abraham. We all believe in the one true God.
Islam means “submission to God.” The great Saints all speak about abandonment to God.
The Ramadan fast involves not only disciplining the body, but also other areas of the flesh. One day while waiting for the bus, a Muslim explained to me how he had broken the fast by arguing with his wife that morning. The Hebrew scriptures likewise talk about the importance of this type of fast from strife being more important than the physical fast.
Jews have Yom Kippur and Christians have Lent. Each of these–Ramadan, Yom Kippur, and Lent–are times of repentance for sins committed against God.
Should we pray for one another? Of course. I pray for my Muslim friends all the time, often at their request.
Let each of us strive to do God’s Will.
En Shallah
…and then someone draws a Cartoon of Mohammad and 50 people die.🤷

I thank all those who have severed the lines that divide us muslims and christians, even if momentarily…It is better this way for the sake of all people.

In this month, we should reflect on our blessings and give many thanks.

There are children in many nations with nothing to eat tonight…Surely that is more important.
It most certainly is my friend. I agree.

Wish all muslims happy ramadan.

Just out of curiousity is this question of mine.
  1. As this is the holy month, why do muslims buy more food during this month than any other month in arab world when consumption of food should be less as its a fasting month?
  2. Why are non muslims prohibited from eating or drinking in public, when all over the world where muslims are in minority, there is no problem, and I find those muslims maintain their fast much better than the arab world?

Heeeelllllooooo mr political correctness!!!
Yes, i do think islam is a false religion, is there something wrong with me saying what i percieve as the truth?
I take it you must be new to this site, so ill cut you some slack, but go back and read how many of the muslims on here have called Christianity false and much worse!
I dont have a problem saying what i think is the truth, do you?

That is the big difference between fasting in Islam and fasting in Christianity, in Islam it’s fasting only from dawn to dusk, after that there is no restriction on the amount of food you eat, that is why Muslims would buy a lot of food specially when they do their shopping hungry (in the morning).
  1. Why are non muslims prohibited from eating or drinking in public, when all over the world where muslims are in minority, there is no problem, and I find those muslims maintain their fast much better than the arab world?
Because they are in “Islamic countries” and they should respect the Islamic law (that is the base of prohibition).
But I believe those Muslims in non-Islamic countries would be rewarded more because they see and smell the food in the streets yet they keep their fasting…

Ramadan is about to start on either Tuesday 10th or Wednesday 11th of August (depending on the lunar phase), for around 30 days, daily abstaining on all types of foods and drinks from dawn to dusk.

Families usually gather together to eat one big meal after dawn then another one before dusk, also there is more praying activity during this month, however, this month is targeted by most entertainment companies since it’s the best month on audience basis which led to shift this month from being a holy month to be called entertainment month!

So Ramadan Mubarak to everyone and may The Most High show you the true path.
Although your soul is Christian, but your body and the people arround you are muslims. I don’t know whether or not you will be fasting in this Ramadhan. But, if you do, May the fasting you will endure, will be just like the fasting that Jesus endured. May you survive the temptations, and God be with you.

although I do share you thinkings, and I my self pray for all the people to see the light, but in this occasion we should have some respect to each others.
Hope all muslims have happy days, and ramadan karim.

👍 yes I will fast according to both religions…

Ramadan Mubarak to all my Muslim brothers and sisters.

Every blessing at this special time

Eric

I think the month of Ramadan is a beautiful way for not only Muslims, but many of God’s other children to show their appreciation and devotion for God. Each year I am more and more amazed at the devotion that some of my Muslim friends show during this month in particular. I think it is a beautiful tradition, and I know I will be praying for my Muslim brothers and sisters in God this month that they grow closer to God and continue to appreciate His love and gifts from above, and I hope my brothers and sisters in Christ will also be praying for them as well.

Sam…

What are some dishes will you be eating??

And also, browsing islamic forums, muslims are complaining about something they call “ramadan breath”.

Why can’t they brush their teeth…???
