Well, cestus asserted that Muslims are the most anti-semitic. I pointed out one group I know to have much more of a problem with it than Muslims.

Most people I talk to were eager to talk to me about the Iraq war and about September 11th. That’s how I ended up talking with everyone about “the Jews” down there
if you think the war isn’t a popular topic to be discussed with americans, I recommend you take a trip.

Birdsong,

Here’s an article in english for everyone to read about how the Mexican crowds chanted “Osama!” to taunt Americans:

usatoday.com/sports/soccer/2004-02-12-notebook-mexicans-crowd_x.htm
GUADALAJARA, Mexico — The jeers from the crowd of 60,000 and the chants of “Osama, Osama, Osama” quieted Tuesday night when Mexico took control of the Olympic qualifying game against the USA at Estadio Jalisco. The 4-0 victory eliminated the U.S. under-23 men’s soccer team from the Athens Games this summer.
Here’s one in Spanish from a forum. For those of you who can’t read Spanish, the question on this poll is: “The problem in Israel: Who is at fault?”

elcerebro.com/choro5/viewtopic.php?p=23851&sid=260bb63834ae8e1d690719467cb97dc9

The result: Jews, 87 percent, Muslims, 12 percent

Here’s another wonderful forum discussion where the “deeds of the Jews” are debated back and forth (with opinions on both sides, of course, but you can see that most acknowledge anti-semitism): foros.gob.mx/read.php?3,18126

Here’s a choice post:
Los judĂos son extremadamente racistas porque se creen un pueblo Ășnico y elegido y si hubiera un pueblo elegido ya estarĂan en presencia del creador y no andarĂan saqueando otras economĂas ni asesinando a niños palestinos que solo piden su libertad.
Any of you who speak spanish also can cruise spanish language politics forums and find this.

The relevance to this thread is that the problems ascribed to Muslims (violence, racism, anti-semitism) are not Muslim problems, they are human problems, and we are all guilty of those. To highlight and demean only Muslim bad-apples is a dehumanizing, hate-mongering tactic that was once employed by Nazis against Jews
and we know where that went.

What exactly is it about Islam that you think I’ve defended. There is a difference between disagreeing with someone who condems a religon and defending the religon. I would, of course, defend anyone’s right to practice Islam, Judaism, Christanity, Hinduism, etc.
Is this the same guy who just said on a previous post that the cross at Mount Soledad bothered you? How is that defending Christians??

Where is that thread if I may ask?

I am not sure its correct to expect defending something if it needs no defense,

But if you could let me in on where this is I would be thankful:)

Again, what does this have to do with heads rolling? Lets try to stay on topic.

Who said I was defending Christians? As to other thread, it is a matter of freedom of religion. Go plant your crosses on private property. Is that such a difficult concept to grasp?

Why does this bother you so? Most Jews I know aren’t even religious.

Now you all see my point about religious bashing in general.

“Why do we need to care about Muslims’ sensibilities? They’re all VIOLENT!”

From there, we get to:

“Why bother respecting those Jews? They’re not even religious anyway”

I’m sure you are a wealth of information when it comes to Judaism. You should print out your posts and share them with your priest. I bet he would find them interesting.

valke2, I just went to that thread and actually agreed with a point you made on it.

Just one thing, we cant speculate on many things. One of them is a Priests reaction to something. I can assure you that the range is great. I am not knocking Priests now, just saying that they can differ quite a bit on matters like you just brought up. I am going to gamble and say that if Christians spent more time praying for our Priests we would see more good all around in the body of Christ.

Lets not forget that none claim to be sinless.

Ya no Pro,
This is not “religious bashing”, my best friend is Jewish, I am in a career that I am very friendly with all faiths, especially Jewish people. My old boyfriend of 5 years is Jewish. I get it from all these people. They do not follow the faith. Of course there are many religious Jewish people, but the ones I know are not, and Valke knows just what I mean.

Pro,

As I mentioned to Valke2, I think Christians ought to be praying for our Priests more often and in turn it would help the entire body of Christ. Its a human problem.

We all know that broad generalizations are just not right.

Thanks for your efforts to get that across with patience.

Oh boy
the old “what? I’m not a racist, BLACK PEOPLE LOVE ME” line.

I’m sure that, just as with rabbis, it is a mixed bag.
