A very important read.

I was shocked by the two photographs at the end.

Very interesting indeed.

would like to be involved with the Pro-Life movement physically but people like this make it impossible for me.

i am pro-life, but have never been involved in any of the pro-life movements other than i did march in a pro-life parade once.

this is the first time i have ever seen or heard randall terry.

i didn’t even know about him before i heard his name mentioned after the murder of dr. tiller.

i do agree about what he said about focusing on what dr. tiller did and not let the media distract us as to who the real bad guys are in this. i will have to learn more about him.
he seems very passionate about his cause and perhaps puts some people off. i did see a thread the other day wondering if randall terry hurt the pro-life movement. i will see if i can find it and see what people had to say.

i haven’t heard too much more about the man arrested. it sounds like he had some mental illness issues.

i didn’t see any photographs at the end either.

However the statement he made after Tiller’s death set the Pro-Life movement back considerably. I’m not sure Terry is as much Pro-Life as he is anti-abortion. Our Bishops have already condemned the killing and discuss how this will be a big set back for our movement.

Cold blooded murder, in a church no less, is never justified according to the CCC.

When Terry said to the Media that Jesus said killing babies is wrong he lied. Jesus didn’t say that directly but WE know what he meant. However for the average moderate and especially the liberals (Christians and non) that just painted all of us as a bunch of wackos.

What he should have said and what WE MUST say is something like this…

"Its a sad day today in the our ongoing fight to end abortion. As x% of medical Doctors (or quote some scientific research) say/shows we believe that Dr Tiller was responsible for the deaths of millions of innocent lives. A belief which is also supported by our religion as well. This is still, regardless of the evidence otherwise, a legal option in our nation.

Regardless of the situation though there no justification for the murder of another human being, especially not in their house of worship.

As a man of faith with who we obviously differ significantly with on some key issues, it is our prayer that Dr Tiller has the time he needed to prepare himself before his ultimate death, l our hopes and prayer go with him and his family, as they do with the innocent lives lost since 1974."

The bottom line though is that our Nation is NOT controlled by our Church, there is freedom of religion here and as LONG as we make the argument a religious one… WE WILL LOSE, bottom line. We have to change the argument.

I will say though that I agree with him 100% about the rhetoric, pictures etc… we should never back down on that as we need those to help show why it’s not a religious issue it’s murder.

Just a question - if he was killed while in the act of murdering a baby would this change?

I guess I’m missing something here.

Does it take away from my pro-life credentials if I find the delivery of Randall Terry a bit extreme?

I’ve marched in walks for life, I’ve given what little money I have to pro life causes. However, in the long run, we need people with the deliveries of Dennis Prager and Laura Ingraham…not Randall Terry.

That is an interesting question… if he was in the middle of a legal abortion no… because it’s legal at this time.

However, if some of you don’t know, the thing about this particular abortion Dr is that, IMHO, he twisted the law and performed what I consider illegal abortions, even killing babies who survived the abortion.

I can not understand, for the life of me - especially after helping to birth my 4 sons, how ANYONE - even more so someone who considers themselves a Christian pull out a live infant and not just rejoice at the miracle in their hands. I can somewhat understand how someone could put it in their mind that a bunch of cells isn’t alive yet… but a killing a crying baby? That just goes beyond ALL reasoning for me…

There are a few times when the mothers life is in jeopardy that a late term abortion can be considred legal… the problem with Tiller was the he would do them all the time and just list the mother as “depressed” or make some other meaningless (not that depression is meaningless, just that it’s doubtful these woman really were) diagnosis and perform the abortion.

This is what he SHOULD have gone to jail for… the sad thing is that if he had been in jail for his crimes, this person wouldn’t have murdered him.

So I guess to answer the question, if someone came in and he was holding a crying baby who was viable and tried to kill it… I believe the laws of the United States would permit someone to defend the life of that other person (whatever their age - they are alive) who could not defend themselves.

Divine law always trumps moral law. So I ask the question again.
If he was killed while in the act of murdering a baby would this change?

Under the laws if this Nation it would be considered murder, the CCC does not justify murder in any form.

Read the recent statements from the Bishops, I believe they are right on track.

Sorry.

I clicked on the rightmost column and read Randall Terry’s statement.

The pictures were at the end of that.

i don’t even have words to describe how i feel after seeing those pictures. what have we become? 😦

the other day a woman who is Catholic said to me that there is nothing worse than an unwanted child. which i guess means she feels abortion is okay. her words shocked me.
did little Tess deserve what happened to her? i don’t think so.

I ask again-I’ve spoken to pro-choicers who say they get more angry when they see this kind of stuff. It makes them think we’re the sick ones.

And maybe we are the sick ones for showing pictures like that in front of women and children.

You can be a pro-life radical, like me, without having to be as disgusting as Randall Terry seems to be.

The thing is there are no unwanted children - it is just a matter of connecting them with the people who want them!

i guess some people don’t see it that way. i was really disappointed when my friend said this because she is Catholic and i would hope she would be a little more compassionate towards the unborn.
