Had 5 mosques in Massachusetts been vandalized, instead of 5 churches, the media would be speaking of nothing else, there would be a high-level task force appointed by the governor, and the FBI would be all over this. I suspect the White House would have been heard from, too. As it is, Catholics have to fight for the merest attention.

I think this is because Catholics often turn the other cheek. Other religious groups don’t stay quiet. They fight back. Bill Donohue said something like this today when he was remembering Mother Angelica.
