I created my own prayer routine using a rosary that goes like this:
Beginning
Beginning
- On the crucifix, Sign of the Cross.
- On the first bead, Apostle’s Creed.
- On the three intro beads, Glory Be.
Decades - Begin each decade with one of the following quotes:
First - 2 Corinthians 1:3 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort.”
Second - Isaiah 33:2 “Lord, have mercy on us: for we have waited for thee: be thou our arm in the morning, and our salvation in the time of trouble.”
Third - Lamentations 3:22 “The mercies of the Lord that we are not consumed: because his commiserations have not failed.”
Fourth - Psalm 50:3 “Have mercy on me, O God, according to thy great mercy. And according to the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my iniquity.”
Fifth - Matthew 5:7 “Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.”
- On each Our Father bead, say an Act of Contrition.
- On each Hail Mary bead, say a Jesus Prayer (“Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.”)
Closing: - On the medal, say the Lord’s Prayer.
- Then an Act of Self-Dedication. (“Take O Lord, and receive my entire liberty, my memory, my understanding and my whole will. All that I am and all that I possess You have given me: I surrender it all to You to be disposed of according to Your will. Give me only Your love and Your grace; with these I will be rich enough, and will desire nothing more. Amen.”)
- Then the Sign of a Cross.
- Following the end of the chaplet, immediately do an act of kindness, such as complimenting somebody or giving away something you don’t need.
